The Links, Incorporated is an international, not for profit organization, that was established in 1946 as a volunteer service organization. The Tulsa (OK) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, was established in 1964. The purpose of the Tulsa Links Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to students seeking an education “Beyond the secondary level”. The mission of the Tulsa Links Scholarship Program is to advance higher education and improve the lives of public service-minded and intellectually gifted students in our service area and to accelerate their progress into impactful leadership roles and opportunities.
Awards & Selection
1. The Tulsa Links Scholarship program seeks to identify students who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must show exceptional leadership potential and make an impact on their communities through service to others.
2. One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2500. The recipient may use the need and merit-based scholarship to attend any college of choice. The Tulsa Links Scholarship is not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline.
3. Tulsa Links Scholars are selected in the spring prior to the college year awarded. The award will be distributed after recipient has been enrolled and attending for the designated year. Proof of enrollment and attendance must be submitted to the Tulsa Links Scholarship Committee before award is disbursed. All documents must be received no later than April 9th of the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded. Failure to submit documentation by the April 9th deadline will result in forfeiture of scholarship.
4. Finalists are interviewed by the Tulsa Links Scholarship Committee and are expected to participate in selection weekend/after school activities. Scholarship winners are selected on the basis of their applications, recommendations and interviews.
